If you're looking for a PC upgrade or a door into the PC master race without needing to build you own rig, today's deals are for you. Walmart is holding it's GeForce week, and there's some great deals on RTX 5090, 5080, 5070Ti, 5070 and 5060 rigs to get you off to a good start. There's also some GPUs floating around at reasonable prices just incase you fancied upgrading from that dusty 3000 series graphics card.
TL;DR: Deals for Today
If you want to be a big boy like me and venture out of the Nvidia monopoly, I've got a solid Radeon RX 9070XT build for under $1,500 that will handle pretty much anything. Plus its paried with a nippy Ryzen 9 CPU and 32GB of DDR5 RAM, zero complains here. I've also included the other deals for this week just incase you missed it, so let's get into it:
Walmart Deals Will Rival Amazon Prime Day
It's not just Amazon Prime Day that's going to be throwing cracking deals and restocks at punters this year. Wallmart is getting in on the action early by previewing some of their best deals, I'm looking at you Prismatic Evolutions Elite Trainer Box as MSRP pricing! Make sure to grab this 30 day Wallmart+ free trial to get access to these deals a day early on October 6, with these deals being available to all shoppers from October 7th to 12th.
GeForce RTX 5000 Graphics Card Deals
In all honestly it's nice seeing graphics cards on digital shelves at a decent price for a change! If you're rocking a recent PCI-E slot and + vare ready to upgrade from the 3000 series and back, this is a great time to upgrade. If you're sqtill on the 4000 series of RTX GPUs, i'd maybe wait for 6000 series for more of a performance jump to justify the spend.
RTX 5090 Prebuilt Gaming PC Deals
These builds are currently the cream of the crop for ridiculously powered gaming rig. Expect 4K 60FPS and up including ray tracing from these bad boys, but out of the two i'd go for the Ryzen 7 9800X3D as it pushes a little bit more performance than the Core Ultra 9 285K.
Acer Nitro 60 RTX 5080 Gaming PC (64GB/2TB)
Looking for a powerful rig that's a bit cheaper than the 5090 builds that's still going to give your monitor a run for its money? This RTX 5080 build is backed up by a massive 64GB DDR5 Ram and a AMD Ryzen 9 7900, so 30FPS + 4K gaming with high settings and ray tracing is well and truely still on the menu and then some.
RTX 5070Ti Prebuilt Gaming PC Deals
RTX 5070Ti is the sweet spot for GPUs at the moment and performs just as well as a 4080 Super. 4K resolutions and 60FPS gaming on high settings is no issue, with some possible solid ray tracing performance for the right title. Again i'd do for either of the Ryzen 7 9800X3D builds here for manimum processing flex.
RTX 5070 Prebuilt Gaming PC Deals
Whilst RTX 5070 isn't that much of an upgrade over a RTX 4070 Super, it supports DLSS 4 and is more powerful on paper. So if you're looking to get a build without messing around building it yourself, either of these builds are solid 1440p high setting and frame rate machines. A solid rig for just over a grand is nothing to be snuffed at.
RTX 5060 Prebuilt Gaming PC Deals
If you're just after solid 1080p PC gaming, there's nothing wrong with paying around $800 for an RTX 5060 prebuilt PC. Again, if you're rocking a 4000 series build right now, this wouldn't be worth upgrading, but for esports and gaming at 1080p on medium to high settings? These are great, and there's always the option to upgrade the GPU down the line.
iBuypower Element Pro AMD Ryzen 9 7900X Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming PC (32GB/2TB)
I'm currently rocking a RX 9070 XT, and it crushes everything I throw at it. I have the same GPU in my build, and whilst i personally prefer to play at 1440p to squeeze those framerates, I can play pretty much anything at 4K with some ray tracing thrown in for good measure. I absolutley cannot complain about this GPU.
PowerA Controller Deals
I'm loving the PowerA Fusion Pro wireless controller right now. It closely follows the Xbox Series controller form factor with some welcomes upgrades. The first thing that pops is the 6-mode / 4-zone RGB lighting across the front of the pad, it's stunning and doesn't look cheap like other brands. Hall Effect thumbsticks should be standard these days, and this pad has it.
There's no worries about stick drift over time here thanks to a magnetic mechanism instead of a kinetic one that wears down over time. There's an included low-latency wireless adaptor for Xbox and PC that has far less delay than a standard Bluetooth connection too. Oh, and there's four mappable buttons that can be set on the fly, bargain, right?
If you're like me and not using any of the social features of Nintendo Switch 2 but want a well priced Pro Controller 2 alternative, PowerA's wireless ninty controllers are a top pick for me. My favorite is the Gengar and Pikachu enhanced wireless controller thanks to its Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and 30-hour rechargable battery. I also love the clicky shoulder buttons and front buttons, but maybe that's just my love of PC gaming?
Steelbook Blu-Ray Preorders
Fantastic 4: First Steps Amazon Exclusive collectors edition? Yes, you heard me. It keeps going in and out of stock, but it's worth keeping an eye on before it's October 14 launch. I want the Five Nights at Freddies Pizza Box collectors edition just because its a really cool set. And we can't forget about saying hello to our little friend Scarface, complete with IconART and a lovely steelbook. These editions sell themselves.
Steelbook Deals
Classics such as The Wizard of Oz Theatrical edition is here with 27% knocked off, and a lovely steelbook Jurrassic World trilogy with a cheeky 8% off. Classics such as Subway and The Monkey are rocking up with slashed prices too, so there's plenty to choose from to build out that epic steelbook collection.
Pokémon TCG Price Watch
There's some serious price gaps in today's price watch for Pokémon TCG, so let's go over some highlights. Destined Rivals Three Booster Blister Pack is cheaper by nearly $7 on TCGplayer vs Amazon, so that's a nice cheap pickup. Want to rip more packs? How about the White Flare Booster Bundle coming in at $11.99 cheaper on TCGPlayer? That's a big difference to put towards more boosters instead of lining Amazons deep pockets. Need some more Prismatic Evolutions in your life? Well the Mini Tins are just over $10 cheaper on TCGPlayer too, and these savings all add up when you're after ripping as many packs as possible.
Batman Blu-Ray Sale
Who's your favorite Batman? I'm not going to start an all-out comments war on that one, but every Batman movie worth watching is here, not to mention Batamn: The Animated series and the animated feature of the fan-favourite "Hush" graphic novel. You can even get a 4K film collection for under $35, so if you're looking to beef up your Bat Cave, now's the time.
Woot! Gaming Sale
Majority of mainline Pokémong Switch 1 games? Check. Every Mario game you need for your collection? Yes. How about Kirby? Yep, here's here too. Not only is Woot smashing it when it comes to adding to your Ninty games library, but they're also bulking up on peripherals, cases and more games for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. It's worth looking through, did I mention you can get up to 87% off?
Amiibo Switch 1 Sale
Late to the game building an ammibo collection? Gamestop have your back today with a tonne of legacy ammibo at just $5.99 each, down from $19.99. They've even thrown in Charizard, Pikachu and their exclusive Mr. Game and Watch amiibo. It would be rude to not pick up atleast four.
Amiibo Switch 2 Sale
Gamestop are even slashing prices on newer amiibo, including the new Donkey Kong and Pauline amiibo from DKs latest outing on Nintendo Switch 2. There's also Minecraft, Street Fighter 6, LoZ: Tears of the Kindom and Monster Hunter amiibo on sale. Just over $14 off $30 amiibo? Yes please.

Alternatively, the PlayStation 5 Disc Edition is down to $425.16 after an even bigger $100 off coupon code "USDEAL100". Shipping is free. Chrono Trigger (Steam)
We called this remaster of Chrono Trigger a masterpiece and slapped a 10/10 on it back in 2011, and we're standing by it. Serving as the foundation of "New Game +" modes and sporting the late great Akira Toriyama's artwork, Chrono Trigger is JRPG nostalgia bottled, and still tastes great 30 years later. It's a great chance to grab one of the best games ever made, complete with new animé cutscenes, for an absolute steal.
JSAUX Carrying Case for Nintendo Switch 2
Jsaux have been making cases, screen protectors and the like for longer than I can remember, and it's quality gear. I've been personally using this case for my Nintendo Switch 2 when i'm out and about, and it's great having that extra bit a tough protection for when I inevitably drop it on the pavement. It's not going to make you get more banannas in DK, but it's a good carry case for under $18.
Duo of Justice Capcom Game Bundle (Steam)
I object to anyone not grabbing this bundle, and i'll never apologise for that Ace Attorney reference either. There's some brilliant games here:
- The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy (7.5/10)
Mega Man Legacy Collection Vol. 1 and 2
Mega Man X Legacy Collection Vol. 1 and 2 (9/10)
Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Vol. 1 and 2
Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective
This much content for $35 is ridiculous and is well worth adding to your Steam backlog. If you want to do your good deed for the day, paying more supports the charity Breakthough T1D. It's the leading organization for type 1 diabetes research and advocacy. Winner.
