Vampire Survivors Is Getting a Sequel, And It's Totally Not a Roguelike Deckbuilder (It Is)

Vampire Survivors is getting…a sequel? A spin-off? Well, another game, made by Poncle. It's called Vampire Crawlers, and it's a first-person, roguelike, deck builder dungeon crawler that has all the addictive sound effects and visuals of Vampire Survivors.

Vampire Crawlers is out in 2026 for Xbox Series, PC, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.

Vampire Survivors, meanwhile, is great. It released seemingly out of nowhere into early access in December of 2021, and a few months later was a huge hit. It made waves for its simplicity yet addictive nature, as well as its cheeky humor and riffs on Castlevania despite, gameplay-wise, being nothing like Castlevania. In our 8/10 review, we said it's "outwardly simple but turns out to be an incredibly deep hole to fall down – though it's not without extended dull periods when you get ahead of its curve."
