Preorder the HP Omen 45L RTX 5090 Prebuilt Gaming PC
HP just added the option to add the GeForce RTX 5090 GPU as an upgrade to one of its flagship HP Omen 45L prebuilt gaming PCs and, fortunately, it is very reasonably priced for a prebuilt RTX 5090 desktop relative to what we’ve seen from other brands. Put your order in sooner than later because, unless HP has readily available 5090 GPUs in its inventory (unlikely), these prebuilts will probably have a bit of a lead time before they ship out.
HP Omen 45L RTX 4090 Gaming PC
For $1,400 less, you can opt for this Omen 45 prebuilt gaming PC equipped with an RTX 4090 GPU. This is still the second most powerful GPU on the market – faster than the RTX 5080 Super by a fair margin – and only lags about 20%-30% behind the RTX 5090 in rasterized performance. In his RTX 4090 review, Chris Coke writes, “The RTX 4090 may be huge and expensive, but holy smokes if it doesn’t blow the competition out of the water… Until the rest of the pack can catch up, between its impressive hardware specs and its DLSS 3 AI wizardry, even the $1,599 price doesn’t seem unreasonable for the unrivaled frame rates that this card can crank out.” The 4090 is also great for AI thanks to its 24GB of VRAM.
The OMEN 45L is HP’s flagship gaming PC and, in our opinion, one of the best prebuilt gaming PCs of 2024. This is HP’s roomiest chassis with plenty of cooling in the form of four 120mm fans for system airflow and an additional 360mm all-in-one liquid cooling solution for the CPU. This PC is equipped with a massive 1,200-watt power supply and current-gen components like an Intel Z790 motherboard, Kingston FURY DDR5 RGB memory modules, and a WD Black M.2 SSD. The chassis itself looks great with its blend of steel and tempered glass and RGB lighting. Although it certainly exudes a very premium feel, it doesn’t scream “gamer” like some other PC cases.
HP Omen 35L RTX 4080 Super Gaming PC
If you don’t have the urge to flex those 5090 or 4090 muscles, and you only care about eeking out top notch 4K gaming performance, then the RTX 4080 Super delivers power in spades and at a much more reasonable price point. You’ll be able to handle any game in 4K at high frame rates, even with ray tracing enabled. It’s 5-10% faster in performance than the RTX 4080 thanks to its higher base clock speed, higher CUDA core count, and higher memory bandwidth. It trades blows with AMD’s most powerful GPU, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX, but the RTX 4080 Super pulls ahead in ray tracing performance and where DLSS 3.0 is supported. It’s nearly identical in performance to the new RTX 5080 GPU.

HP Omen Transcend OLED Slim Gaming Laptops
The Omen Transcend is HP’s newest gaming laptop and it’s lighter and thinner than the standard Omen, weighing in as low as 3.6lbs. It boasts better build quality and materials like a premium all-metal (aluminum) chassis, Corning gorilla glass display, and some models are even equipped with a gorgeous OLED panel. The Omen Transcend is an excellent option for anyone who wants a slim and easily portable laptop while still being able to play the latest games.
