Set to release on November 19, it’s available in 4K steelbook, 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and even DVD formats. Let’s take a look at what you get when you buy it.

The second season of House of the Dragon continues the story of the conflict between Alicent and the Green Council and Rhaenyra and the Black Council as they battle over the iron throne of Westeros. Whichever format you choose, you’ll get all eight episodes of the new season, along with over an hour of bonus content, including two new featurettes that are exclusive to these physical editions. Also included are the eight “Inside the Episode” add-ons, one for each episode. You can check out our House of the Dragon Season 2 review to see what our critic thought of it.
The story for House of the Dragon comes from George R. R. Martin’s book Fire & Blood: 300 Years Before A Game of Thrones (see it on Amazon). It’s not a typical dramatized tale like the core novels; instead, it’s a fictional history of the Targaryen dynasty that spans decades. However, because of the show’s changes from the source material, it remains to be seen if the show will keep the book’s ending.
House of the Dragon Season 2 Contents and Bonus Features
The featurettes are exclusive to the 4K Steelbook, 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD editions, which essentially means you don’t get them if you buy the digital (non-physical) editions.
