Move over Prime Day, Walmart currently has the best deal on a popular and very well reviewed LEGO set. The LEGO Icons Galaxy Explorer 10497 90th Anniversary Collectible is currently on sale for $70, a 30% price drop. This is the best price we've seen in well over a year. Note that this is officially a retired product and Walmart is the only vendor that has it for under MSRP. We don't know how much inventory they have, but if you want to pick up this awesome LEGO kit, you shouldn't hesitate.
LEGO Icons Galaxy Explorer 10497 for $70
The LEGO Galaxy Exploreer 10497 is a much larger, more robust replica of the original LEGO Galaxy Explorer 497 that was released way back in 1979. Whereas the original set only consisted of 338 bricks, the new model is comprised of 1,254 bricks. It's an impressively sized piece, measuring 21 inches long and 13 inches wide. Although LEGO lists this as an ages 18+ build, it's actually not very complex and younger kids can successfully complete this set just fine as long as they have the patience. The set has color coded bricks to make the build process easier. In addition to the spaceship itself, you get four astronaut mini-figures, a robot helper, and a mini rover.
