Target is currently offering 20% off preorders for Marvel’s Wolverine (bringing it down to $55.99), and Grand Theft Auto 6 (now $63.99 instead of $79.99).
All you need to do is sign up for Target Circle (free to join), verify your Student or Teacher status (see here), and you’ll qualify for the discount if you lock in your preorders before September 12.
Note: this 20% discount applies to a single basket, so you’ll need to add everything you want discounted at once to qualify for the “Back-to-School” offer.
I’d be all over this like a rash if I were a young and sprightly youth on my way to, or currently in, College. I’d be even more over this if I were a teacher!
Although I’m focused purely on Marvel’s Wolverine or GTA 6, this will work for pretty much anything at Target. So you could preorder GTA 6, pick up a new set of AirPods Pro 3 (currently down to $189.99, or dropping to $151.99 with this offer), and chuck in whatever else suits you.
I know not all students, and even teachers, have much disposable income ready to spend, but it doesn’t make it any less of a great offer. You could even pick up some boring school supplies… which is probably what this offer is truely meant for. Shame!
The only caveat I need to offer is that preordering GTA 6 via an online retailer means you’re being sent a boxed copy of a download code. There isn’t a disc included, and it’s a major point of controversy.
Still, this will save you $16 and allow you to play the game, so it’s definitely one to consider no matter the downsides of the industry moving to a fully digital future. The promo is also available on the Xbox copy, if that’s where you prefer to play.
