Ahead of Prime Day, Amazon is offering some major discounts on a couple of Roborock robot vacuum and mop cleaners. The Roborock Q7 Max is down to $259.99, a 57% drop. The Q8 Max – successor to the Q7 – is down to $339.99, a 44% price drop. Roborock is one of the largest robot vacuum brands in the world. They offer more features than Roomba at a more attractive price point. That doesn’t mean they are lower quality. I’ve owned both Roborock and Roomba models and my current Roborock has lasted longer, performed better, and cost less to maintain than any of the Roombas I’ve owned in the past.
Roborock Q7 Max Robot Vacuum and Mop for $259.99
Amazon Prime member exclusive
The Q7 Max offers a combination vacuum and mop unit at a bargain price. The vacuum features 4,200 Pa of suction, with a single rubber brush that doesn’t get tied up with hair like traditional bristle brushes. The mop offers 11oz of consistent pressure and works in tandem with the brush depending on the floor type; on carpeting the mop pad lifts up and out of the way and on solid floors both the mop and vacuum are working together. The dusbin and water tank are self contained in a single unit for quick cleanup. The Q7 Max navigates via LIDAR and SLAM and will generate 3D maps of your rooms. You can use your smartphone app to create invisible walls and easily schedule routines.
Roborock Q8 Max Robot Vacuum and Mop for $339.99
Amazon Prime member exclusive
The Q8 Max is similar to the Q7 Max in most respects but beefs up the vacuuming performance. It’s upgraded with 5,500 Pa of suction and instead of a single rubber brush, there are two rollers, each spinning in opposite directions to pick up even more hair and debris. If your house has a lot of rugs or carpeting, then this is a worthy $80 upgrade. All of the other features, including mopping performance, remains the same.
