Apple’s newest MacBook Air just dropped to its lowest price since the hike back in June of 2026. During the Amazon October Prime Day Sale, you can save $200 off the base model, which includes an M5 chip, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD, now just $1,099 with free shipping. This is the newest generation model that was released earlier this year.
Save $200 Off the 2026 Apple Macbook Air 13″ M5 (16GB/512GB)
The MacBook Air 13″ M5 was released on March 11, 2026. It features a 13.6″ 2560×1664 (224ppi) Retina display with P3 Wide Color and True Tone, Apple M5 chip with 10-core CPU, 8-core GPU, and 16-core NPU (for AI), 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. The MacBook Air measures 0.44″ thin and weighs 2.7 pounds, thanks to its unibody aluminum chassis. Connectivity options include two Thunderbolt 4 (USB Type-C) ports for high-speed storage expansion or peripherals. The MacBook Air is also equipped with Apple’s new N1 networking chip with Wi-Fi 7 support.
Because the MacBook Air offers so much versatility for its price, it’s the best MacBook to buy for most people. Currently this laptop with identical specs still costs $1,299 from the Apple Store. Buying it from Amazon will get you the same 1 year Apple warranty, since Amazon is an authorized Apple reseller, and you can still extend it with AppleCare.
