Here’s some good news for anyone looking to upgrade to the latest Android phone: New models of Google’s Pixel smartphones are now up for preorder. They’re available at all the usual retailers, but Amazon and Best Buy are giving out up to $350 in free gift cards with your purchase. You have four updated models to choose from: the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. The new phones start at $899 and will be released August 20. Preorder the New Google Pixel 11 Phones
All of the Pixel 11 phones look similar to last year’s models, but the have spec bumps and some bright new color options. All the phones are $100 more than last year’s models, but they start at 256GB of storage compared to last year’s 128GB.

The baseline Pixel 11 has a sleeker all-glass camera bar on the back compared to the 10. Google says the “new 48 MP main lens brings you 56% better light sensitivity for stunning night photos.” The Pixel 11 comes in the brightest color options of all the models. You can get it in Frost (grayish purple), Hibiscus (vibrant pink), Pistachio (muted green), and Obsidian (charcoal gray). They look great.

The Pixel 11 Pro has better cameras than the standard model, with a 50MP main camera and a 120x-capable zoom lens. New this year is the HiLight LED built into the camera strip on the back. This light glows different colors when you have incoming calls from your favorite contacts, and glows blue when you’re talking to Gemini. Basically, it gives you some info about what’s going on while your phone is face-down.

The Pixel 11 Pro XL is the same as the Pro, but bigger. The display is 6.8 inches versus the 6.3 screen on the 11 and 11 Pro.

For those who enjoy extra screen space, the Pixel 11 Fold is the one to get (if you can swing the price). It comes in two color options, and Google says the displays are 20% brighter both inside and out. It’s also thinner than last year’s model, but 3x stronger. The cameras are also improved, and it has the same HiLight feature as the Pro.
