PlayStation’s Black Friday Sale Is Live With Big Discounts on Digital PS5 Games

It’s official: Black Friday season is upon us. As Sony announced yesterday, the PlayStation Store has kicked off its Black Friday sale (you can see the whole sale here). The sale runs November 4 – 30, dropping prices on thousands of digital PS5 games. These range from older titles you’d expect to get discounts to new 2026 games like Wolverine, Control Resonant, Silent Hill: Townfall, and many more. Let’s take a look.

PlayStation Store Black Friday Sale

Before we dive in, it’s worth noting that these deals are just the beginning of the Black Friday season, and they may not be the best deals we’ll see on these games. With Black Friday coming in just a few weeks, other retailers will certainly have some of these games on sale as well, likely for lower prices as the month progresses. So keep that in mind when planning your purchases.

Also, Sony said its Black Friday sale will run November 4 – 30; however, many game pages in this sale say the discounts will only last until November 21. I’m not 100% sure why that is, but I have to assume another wave of discounts will go live as we get closer to Black Friday. With that out of the way, let’s look at what’s on sale.

The biggest first-party PS5 game of the fall is Marvel’s Wolverine, from Insomniac, the makers of the Spider-Man PS5 games. It’s a fun (and very gory) single-player action game that tells a good story, though our reviewer scored it a 6/10. Only the digital deluxe edition is on sale, but the discount actually makes it cheaper than the standard edition by $10. In addition to get base game, it includes a host of exclusive suits and claw skins, as well as some in-game help in the form of Technique Points.

On the other hand, if you have a PS5 with a disc drive, you can get a pre-owned copy of the standard edition on sale at GameStop for $38.99 right now. That’s an example of other retailers possibly offering bigger discounts than you’ll find in the PlayStation Store’s sale. The more flexible you can be in terms of format and retailer, the better deals you’ll be able to score this month.

As for other games on sale, Control Resonant is another big new game of the fall. And once again, it’s the digital deluxe edition that’s on sale instead of the standard edition. It comes with an extra outfit, a starter resource bundle, and a digital artbook and soundtrack. The deluxe edition of 007: First Light is on sale for 50% off; it also includes some in-game outfits and extras.

If standard editions are more your speed and you dig horror, you can pick up Silent Hill: Townfall for a cool 20% off. Beast of Reincarnation is on sale for 25% off. And a whole lot more games are discounted as well.

But once again, if you want the best deals possible, you’ll likely find bigger discounts in the weeks to come. If you want my advice, for now just buy the games you’ll start playing very soon. For everything else, make a list of what games you want and keep an eye out for all the PS5 game sales to come.
