One Piece Day 2024 Schedule Revealed, Promises Update on Anime Remake

One Piece Day celebrations take place from August 9 to August 11, 2024 and this year promise an update on the highly anticipated anime remake of the beloved series.

As reported by ComicBook, the event takes place in person in Japan but several hours of it will be streamed on the One Piece YouTube channel for those unable to attend. Coverage begins 7pm Pacific / 10pm Eastern on August 9 and 6pm Pacific / 9pm Eastern on August 10.

Several larger reveals are likely over the weekend, including for anime remake The One Piece, which has been quiet since its announcement in December 2023.

Fans will most likely be hoping for a release window announcement of the show, which will likely offer a more condensed and manga-accurate version of the current show. It's coming to Netflix from Spy X Family and Attack on Titan's WIT Studio.

Other highlights for the weekend include appearances from myriad voice actors including Monkey D. Luffy's Mayumi Tanaka, Roronoa Zoro's Kazuya Nakai, and Nami's Akemi Okamura alongside the rest of the Straw Hats cast and more.

As Netflix or WIT Studios hasn't announced the cast for The One Piece yet either, it's perhaps likely it will confirm if the current beloved voice actors will make a return, just as they did for the Japanese dub of the live action version.
