Magic: The Gathering’s Avatar: The Last Airbender Beginner Box Drops to Its Lowest Price Ever at Amazon

If you've been thinking about jumping into Magic: The Gathering, or you're an Avatar: The Last Airbender fan looking for an easy way to start playing, now's a great time to pick up the Avatar Beginner Box.

It's currently down to just $18.10 at Amazon, its lowest price ever, after launching with a $34.99 MSRP.

As we noted when we previewed the set last year, the Avatar Beginner Box follows the same successful formula as Magic's Foundations Beginner Box, but swaps in characters, mechanics, and themes from Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Inside the box are everything two players need to learn the game together, including two playmats, a guided tutorial booklet, and two themed half-decks starring Aang and Zuko. The guided experience walks you through your first game step by step, making it one of the easiest entry points into Magic available.

Once you've got the basics down, the box opens up considerably. Eight additional half-decks are included, letting you mix and match any two to build a full deck.

Different combinations focus on Fire, Water, Earth, and Air, alongside different playstyles such as powerful creatures, spell-heavy strategies, and more, giving the box plenty of replay value beyond the tutorial.

It's an excellent starting point for new players, while also offering a sizeable stack of Avatar cards to kickstart a collection and showcase how the series' elemental bending has been translated into Magic gameplay.

Of course, if opening booster packs is more your thing, there are plenty of valuable cards to chase from the Avatar set.

We've rounded up the biggest hits in our guide above, but the headline cards are the Neon Ink Foil versions of Aang, Swift Savior, Fire Lord Zuko, Katara, the Fearless, and Toph, the First Metalbender.

Pull one of those, and you're looking at hot cards for the secondary market, so here's hoping your packs are lucky. For more MTG deals, be sure to check out the Marvel Super Hero set, with booster displays now at all time low prices, alongside Collector Booster sets also being restocked at Amazon.
