LEGO has announced two new sets based on the classic animated series SpongeBob SquarePants. First up is a sizable Bikini Bottom set for $219.99, followed by a much smaller SpongeBob SquarePants Figure set for $12.99. Both are slated to release September 1, and are available for preorder now at the LEGO Store.
LEGO SpongeBob SquarePants: Bikini Bottom
Release Date: September 1, 2026Price: $219.99Pieces: 1,794Set #: 11386See it at LEGO Store
Bikini Bottom is the bigger of the two SpongeBob sets by far. It’s made up of 1,794 pieces and depicts an array of locales from the show. You get SpongeBob and Squidward’s distinctive houses, each of which feature multi-room interiors, plus Patrick’s rock, which is just one room, but it has some details of its own inside. There’s also a Jellyfish Fields scene, minifigures of all the main characters, and select items and pieces from famous episodes, like the boatmobile. Dedicated fans will also find a number of Easter eggs, as is common for LEGO sets.
LEGO SpongeBob SquarePants Figure
Release Date: September 1, 2026Price: $12.99Pieces: 72Set #: 40858See it at LEGO Store
LEGO’s BrickHeadz line features squared-off versions of pop culture characters, so it’s fitting that the SpongeBob SquarePants Figure set is a BrickHeadz set. It’s comprised of 72 pieces and includes a net accessory so our yellow friend can go jellyfishing. And it’s only $12.99, which is about as cheap as LEGO prices get these days.
These aren’t the only upcoming LEGO sets — not by a long shot. On August 1, an enormous number of sets will release, including new LEGO Pokémon sets, an awesome looking Boba Fett, an awesome looking E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, the first Kpop Demon Hunter set, a handful of Olivia Rodrigo sets, and many more. In other words, it’s a good time to be a fan of LEGO, regardless of whether you’re an adult or a kid.
