Fortnite has become the unlikely focus of excitement among Lego Island fans after Pepper Roni himself popped up in the game.
Lego Tycoon: Tilted Towers, out now within Fortnite, includes a number of challenges that revolve around classic Lego themes, but it’s the addition of Pepper Roni that’s caught the eye.

Pepper Roni, who runs the Pizza Shop in Lego Tycoon: Tilted Towers, is lifted from the much-loved Lego Island trilogy. He’s a young delivery boy who delivers pizza to the citizens of Lego Island while working to defeat The Brickster.
Mindscape’s Lego Island launched on PC in 1997 and was well-received by critics. Lego Island 2: The Brickster's Revenge followed in 2001, with the final game, Island Xtreme Stunts, coming out in 2002.
Now, 22 years later, Pepper Roni has returned as the star of this latest Fortnite Lego Island, and fans couldn’t be happier. Here’s a snippet of the reaction:

While this is nostalgia-fueled fan-service from the Lego Group and Fortnite maker Epic Games, there’s no suggestion of a revival of the Lego Island series. These days, Lego is going big in Fortnite with the popular game within the battle royale, Lego Fortnite, as well as surprise spin-offs, such as Lego Horizon Adventures.
