Here’s a good deal for any Xbox Series X|S owner who hasn’t preordered Grand Theft Auto 6 yet. Today only, by taking advantage of an Xbox gift card deal at Newegg, you can effectively knock $10 off the price of GTA 6.
How does it work, you ask? Newegg is offering $5 off $50 Xbox gift cards if you enter promo code LDSF373 at checkout. Thankfully, the code stacks, so you can add two gift cards to your cart to get $10 off $100 worth of credit.
As luck would have it, the ultimate edition of GTA 6, the one most people are buying, is available to preorder on Xbox for $99.99. Put it all together, and you effectively save $10 off GTA 6. But remember, the deal is good today only.
Why preorder GTA 6 at all? It can be safely assumed that the game will carry a massive file size. If you preorder, you can preload it starting November 12, a week ahead of launch. That way it’ll be installed on your system and ready to play the moment it comes out.
We had only gotten a sprinkling of specifics about GTA 6 over the past few years until last week’s extended look blew the game open with 27 minutes of frankly awesome-looking gameplay footage. I was expecting it to look incredible, but it actually exceeded my expectations. Games like this don’t come around often.

Personally, I’ve been debating which console to play GTA 6 on, and I’m leaning toward Xbox, so I think I’m going to take advantage of this gift card deal. I like the Xbox controller better (though the Wolverine PS5 controller looks pretty stellar), and I’m also a big fan of the Quick Resume function. But really, I imagine it’ll play just fine on both consoles.
I posted a similar deal for PS5 yesterday, but that one has ended, just as this one will end at midnight tonight. However, even if you missed out, all hope is not lost. GTA 6 doesn’t come out until November 19, and Newegg offers discounts on PlayStation and Xbox gift cards fairly often. I’d say it’s likely this deal will come back around before the big launch.
