DC Studios will release the first Superman trailer this Thursday, December 19.

A tweet from DC Studios co-chief and Superman director James Gunn confirmed the release date for the trailer.

Meanwhile, a tweet from the Superman account showed a new image of David Corenswet as the iconic superhero alongside the tagline “look up.”

Superman is the first movie in Gunn’s new DC Universe franchise, and follows this year's animated show Creature Commandos. It launches July 11, 2025.

For more on the path Gunn is paving for the DCU, you can see the full schedule of everything announced so far here. Gunn recently described the new DCU as more Star Wars than Marvel in some ways, though we’ll have to wait until more projects launch to see exactly what he means.
