Amazon Reveals Free Uber Eats Delivery for Prime Members, Plus $20 Off Your First Two Orders

Amazon Prime members can now get $0 delivery fees on orders over $25. Amazon revealed in a November 5 press release that this benefit is now available to use, and subscribers are eligible for $20 off their first two orders for the next two weeks.

This new service replaces the Prime GrubHub+ benefit, which has officially expired as of today. If you’re already a member, all you need to do is search ‘Uber Eats’ on Amazon to find restaurants and start placing an order. Alternatively, you can go straight to the official Uber Eats page to check out what’s available.

For those who don’t already have an Amazon Prime membership, you can sign up for a free trial to get the benefit. This likely won’t get you the extra $20 off, as the Amazon press release states an “eligible Prime membership” is needed to to take advantage of the promotion. If you’re already planning on picking up a subscription ahead of Black Friday season, however, it’s still probably worth it to make full use of those Prime benefits.

The press release doesn’t explain why Amazon made the shift from GrubHub+ to Uber Eats, only that this will be the partnership moving forward. Amazon Prime Vice President Jamil Ghani commented how the deal fits into the service, saying: “This is what Prime is all about: unlimited free, fast delivery on a wide selection of products, big savings, fantastic entertainment, and now even more value on restaurant delivery with Uber Eats, all in a single membership.”

For those with an Amazon Prime membership already, this is basically free food money. You can use this promotion to get a discount on dinner for your family or go wild and order a stack of KFC Doomsday Chicken Sandwiches for yourself. The bonus $20 off credit will only last from now until November 19.
