All of the Sarah J. Maas Romantasy Books Are on Sale at Amazon Ahead of Mother’s Day

I first got into reading romantasy books after a friend of mine recommended Fourth Wing to me and was pretty much hooked on the genre after that. Sexy writing all mashed up into magical worlds, what’s not to like about that?

And while I do really like Rebecca Yarros’ Empyrean series, I’ve come to absolutely love the works of Sarah J. Maas as well. ACOTAR and Throne of Glass are both excellent in their own right and have definitely earned the popularity that BookTok brought them. If you’ve got someone in your life who also loves whatever Maas writes, I’d highly recommend checking out Amazon’s Mother’s day sale on these box sets.

Sarah J. Maas has three different series’, each with a distinct mix of fantasy and romance. First up, there’s A Court of Thorns and Roses, which is definitely the spiciest of the three. These books mostly focus on a young woman named Feyre Archeron as she moves her way through the troubled world of the Fae. Amazon only has the paperback box set for this series included in the sale, and notably only includes the five books that have been published. Maas announced earlier this year that ACOTAR 6 and 7 would be arriving close to the end of 2026, which will likely mean updated box sets in 2027.

Next up there’s Maas’ toned down Throne of Glass series. This series is actually finished and Amazon has both the paperback and hardcover box sets included in the sale. These books focus on Celaena Sardothien, a trained assassin with a complicated past and an even more complicated future. I actually preferred this series over ACOTAR, but there’s definitely a lot less actual romance written in between the action and world building.

Lastly, there’s the Crescent City books. While this series was originally intended as a trilogy, there is still a fourth one on the way. Amazon has included both the paperback and hardcover box sets in its sale, which both feature the first three books. The Crescent City series feels more like a fantasy murder mystery with romance all tangled into that. It’s definitely more of a slow burn than ACOTAR when it comes to spiciness levels.

Amazon’s ‘But 2, get 1 50% off sale’ includes a ton of books and other box sets outside of the romantasy genre. These types of Amazon coupons are generally one of the best times to buy books, so I’d definitely recommend checking out what else is available here. Most notably, there are several Lord of the Rings Illustrated editions featured here as well as the popular Dungeon Crawler Carl books. You can use the search bar on the promo page to look for specific titles included.
