If you’re looking for the easiest iPad to take along with you anywhere, the Apple iPad Mini is the best choice. It may be the most diminutive tablet of the bunch, but it’s actually a higher-end tablet than the standard iPad with a better display and more powerful processor. During the Back to School season, Amazon has it on sale for $379 after a $120 off instant discount. That’s the lowest price so far this year and slightly ($20) less than the the best deal I saw during Amazon Prime Day. There’s no better iPad to take along when you’re travelling.
2024 Apple iPad Mini (A17 Pro)
The iPad Mini is the smallest iPad in the stack, measuring 7.7″ x 5.3″ and only 0.23″ thin. It weighs just 10 ounces. It’s not that much bigger or heavier than an iPhone 16 Plus. The current generation model is equipped with an A17 Pro processor, which is better than the A16 Bionic found in the latest Apple iPad (2025). The iPad Mini has an 8.3″ 2266×1488 display (326ppi) with P3 Wide Color and True Tone. Although the standard iPad screen is larger, it’s not as sharp (264ppi) and doesn’t support wide color gamut. Also, unlike the iPad, the iPad Mini is Apple Intelligence compatible.
