We Found the Best Xbox Deals for Amazon’s New Prime Day Sale

Prime Day is officially here again, running from October 8-9, offering a great opportunity to snag some amazing Xbox deals. At IGN, we sift through all the noise to bring you the very best discounts that truly stand out. Every deal we feature is a standout pick, carefully selected to meet our high standards. Our top picks for Day 2 include the WD Black 1TB expansion card for $120.64, and 3-months of Game Pass for just $29.19. Keep in mind that these deals are exclusive to Prime members, so if you’re not already subscribed, you can take advantage of a free 30-day trial to jump in on the savings.

TL;DR Best Xbox Deals for Prime Day

WD_Black 1TB C50 Storage Expansion Card

It’s no secret that modern AAA video games take up a whole lot of storage space. They take up so much that you’ve probably already reached the limit of your Xbox Series X|S’s onboard storage. Expanding that storage is easy, but it’s usually absurdly expensive, thanks to Microsoft’s proprietary format. This low, low price on the WD Black C50 is the best you’re likely to get any time soon, so stock up.

3 Months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $29.19

Our favorite Game Pass deal is back and better than ever before. For October Prime Day, Woot! (which is owned by Amazon) is offering three months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for only $29.19 after you apply the 20% off coupon code “SAVE20“. That’s only $9.73 per month.

Earlier this year, Microsoft raised the price of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to $19.99 per month, so you’re basically saving over 50% off with this Prime Day deal. Note: The coupon field is at the final step of checkout right under the “Place Order” button. Do not place the order until after you have entered the coupon and see the $29.19 price.

EA Sports College Football 25 For Just $43

One of the most popular games of the summer has been discounted for the October Prime Day sales. College Football 25 has dropped to just $42.99 for Prime Members, down from its $69.99 list price. It’s a great deal for the game.

IGN reviewer Will Borger had this to say in his review: “If you know and love college football and just want to pop into Dynasty, build up your favorite school, and play some football that looks good and handles well, College Football 25 is the game you’re looking for.”

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1

What a thrill! The Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X is currently marked down an incredible 50% off at Amazon for Prime Day. This brings its price down to $18.98, which is absolutely worth taking advantage of before the discount disappears. Plus, there’s no better time than now to pick up this collection and play it, what with MGS Delta on the horizon.

October Prime Day: More Xbox Game Deals

It’s clear Ubisoft has no problems showing up for a Prime Day sales. Whether you’re into Star Wars, Avatar, Prince of Persia or anything esle, there are major price cuts to be found. Be sure to grab these deals while they last.

Madden NFL 25 – $42.99 (was $69.99)Assassin’s Creed Mirage – $22.99 (was $49.99)Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown – $19.99 (was $49.99)Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – $26.99 (was $69.99)

‘No Console Required’ Xbox Bundle

Amazon’s offering its ‘No Console Required’ Xbox Bundle as part of its October Prime Day sale event. For just $79.99 as a Prime Exclusive Deal, you can get a 4K Max Amazon Fire TV Stick, an Xbox Wireless Controller (Astral Purple), and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Or, you can also score this bundle with just the 4K Fire TV Stick, an Xbox Wireless Controller, and 1 Month Game Pass Ultimate for $74.99.

Normally, buying each of the items in the 4K Max bundle separately would cost you around $142, so you’re saving about $62 with the bundle. Those are phenomenal deals to have Xbox’s Game Pass library right at your fingertips. Compared to the cost of buying an Xbox console on its own right now, it’s starting to looking just that bit more appealing.

Xbox Series X 1TB Console

Best Buy has the one and only good Xbox Series X deal going at the moment during the Prime Day, and subsequent rival Prime Day sales at other retailers. It’s $50 off and includes a $25 gift voucher alongside. What a steal!

Best Xbox TV Deals for Prime Day

The LG Evo C4 is an outstanding TV that has won top spots in several of our buying guides, including best 4K TV and best TV for gaming. You’ve got a choice of sizes in the sale, all at differing prices, but our favorite is the 65″ version, down to just under $1700 for Prime members only.

Is It Better to Buy an Xbox on Prime Day or Black Friday?

Unlike the Nintendo Switch, there is no specific recommendation to wait for a sale regardless of the time of year when it comes to Xbox. Instead, it’s a good idea to monitor various retailers and online platforms for restock announcements and promotional offers.

However, certain events like Black Friday or Prime Day may bring about unique bundles, discounts, or promotional deals specifically for the Xbox Series X. These bundles may include additional games, accessories, or exclusive limited editions.

While quantities for such promotions might be limited, they can provide an opportunity to get more value for your purchase. There aren’t any notable Xbox Series X or S console deals for October Prime Day, but see our guide to Xbox Series X prices for more info or speculation on the Black Friday sale.
