These Are the Only LEGO Sets I’m Tempted to Buy Before October Prime Day Ends

I’ve been covering Amazon Prime Day deals events for years and have only really made a handful of purchases on things I actually needed. So I’m surprised at how tempted I’ve been to buy a LEGO set for myself throughout the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days event.

There are a lot of really good deals on LEGO sets happening right now and so many of them are targeted specifically at adults. Although I’ve never purchased a LEGO set as an adult, I’m increasingly tempted by the new releases every month. With the discounts happening now, I’m very seriously considering pulling the trigger on three specific sets that are currently at their lowest-ever prices.

LEGO Super Mario Piranha Plant

I actually almost bought this set back in July during the first Prime Day when it was briefly down to this price. I am a huge fan of the Mario games and this set seems like it works perfectly as a fun build and something cool to display on my desk. The price also isn’t so outrageous that I feel like I couldn’t justify it to myself. Out of all of the many LEGO Mario deals happening in this sale, I keep coming back to this one. I even found myself going through IGN’s build of this set to make sure it’s something I would enjoy.

What has also really been selling me on this particular set as I browse the sale is that you can also buy an LED accessory kit to help it glow. It adds an extra $20 to the overall purchase, but then it doubles as a night light. See for yourself at how glorious this looks:

LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle and Grounds

To be quite honest, the likelihood of me purchasing this set is lower than the other two on my list. That being said, it is the one I want the most. I have been a fan of Harry Potter since I first read the books and would absolutely love to build my own Hogwarts. You can check out IGN’s build of this set to see how it comes together for yourself.

The main thing holding me back from making this purchase is the price. It’s currently discounted more than it ever has been, but It’s hard for me to justify spending over $100 for anything I don’t actually need. There are quite a few other Harry Potter LEGO sets that are on sale at lower prices, but this is by far the coolest one.

LEGO Architecture London Skyline Collection

There are a lot of really cool LEGO architecture sets you can buy, but this is the one I’ve had my eye on throughout this sale. I have been to London a couple of times and am going back to visit family for Christmas this year, so it would be cool to have a set that reminds me of the city. It’s also worth noting that it’s very affordable. Since it isn’t attached to any major franchises, the overall price isn’t inflated nearly as much.

Another thing that I like about this set is that it looks relatively easy to put together and display on a shelf somewhere. It contains less pieces than the Piranha Plant set and doesn’t take up nearly as much space as the Hogwarts Castle set.

Is Now a Good Time to Buy LEGO Sets?

While I haven’t purchased any LEGO sets for myself yet, I have been paying attention to the deals for quite some time. I can honestly say that right now is one of the best times to buy LEGO sets I’ve seen all year. Amazon specifically has been discounting popular sets pretty heavily over the last month, and October Prime Day seems to have accelerated that a bit. It’s certainly possible that we could see lower prices on Black Friday, but all of the sets I’m looking at here are currently at their lowest-ever prices. So even if they do drop further in price during the holiday season, it won’t be by much.
