Star Wars actor Temuera Morrison wants to star in The Mandalorian after Pedro Pascal came in and “stole” an episode of The Book of Boba Fett.
According to Yahoo! News, Morrison revealed his plans to take over an episode of The Mandalorian during a recent appearance at MCM London Comic Con. He said he would like to follow in the footsteps of Pascal’s Din Djarin, who stepped in and stole the spotlight in Episode 5 of The Book of Boba Fett, ‘The Return of the Mandalorian.’
The way he did and came into my show and stole an episode of my show.
“I would actually like my character to visit The Mandalorian, the Mando fort or something, and come in there and kick some real serious a** as well,” Morrison said, sharing his hopes to reprise the role of Boba Fett. “The way he did and came into my show and stole an episode of my show — so I’d like to do the same thing.”
There is no word on a fourth season of The Mandalorian or a second season of The Book of Boba Fett. The announcement of The Mandalorian & Grogu spinoff movie may mean the former series has ended its small-screen run, even though Jon Favreau confirmed in February 2023 that he had finished the script for Season 4.
News of The Mandalorian & Grogu arrived sometime after that, so the assumption is that the movie is taking the place of The Mandalorian Season 4, at least in the short-term, with Favreau directing the upcoming big-screen adventure of everybody’s favorite Beskar-sporting space dad and his trusty sidekick Grogu.
Production on The Mandalorian & Grogu will begin later this year ahead of its release on May 22, 2026, meaning it could wind up being the first Star Wars project to hit the big screen since 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker (and the first since Disney revealed that Star Wars movies would be going on a hiatus after The Skywalker Saga).
It is unknown which characters may show up in The Mandalorian & Grogu outside of the titular two, so a Boba Fett cameo is possible, though there are plenty of other movies in the pipeline, including Dave Filoni’s New Republic movie, which is said to tie together shows like The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and more.
