Special Naruto and BLEACH-Themed Pop-Up Hits New York This Weekend

Fans of Naruto and BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War are in for a treat as a special pop-up event is headed to New York City this weekend. Shonen Jump and Shopify are creating a one-of-a-kind experience to coincide with New York Comic Con featuring exclusive merch, interactive photo ops, life-sized character stands, and more.

IGN can exclusively reveal a first look at the installation, which celebrates both the 25th anniversary of the Naruto manga and the 20th anniversary of the BLEACH anime.

The event kicks off today at Shopify New York (131 Greene St, Soho) and also runs Friday and Sunday:

10/17-10/18 – 12 – 8pm10/20 – 10am – 6pm

The special event will include something for everyone including:

BLEACH Thousand-Year Blood War and Naruto photo installations, where visitors can snap a picture with life-size character stands of their favorite heroes.Limited-edition collections for Naruto, BLEACH, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Kaiju No. 8, Sakamoto Days, and other merch straight from from the iconic “Jump Shop” in Japan. An interactive Naruto photo op. Interactive QR codes highlighting the history of both BLEACH and NarutoA special manga gallery celebrating Naruto’s legacy.

Additionally, the experience will feature special appearances and autograph opportunities with:

Masakazu Morita, the voice of BLEACH’s Ichigo Kurosaki, in addition to Final Fantasy X’s Tidus and Kingdom’s Shin.Noriaki Sugiyama, who voices both Uryu Ishida from BLEACH and Sasuke Uchihafrom Naruto.

Fans of both properties can also catch special panels at NYCC featuring both actors on Saturday, September 19. The VIZ Industry panel will also feature “announcements, sneak peeks, giveaways, and fun moments.” Additionally, the BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Conflict panel will include a special look at an upcoming episode.
