Looking to stock up on some horror movies ahead of October? Look no further than Amazon where you can score The Exorcist’s 50th Anniversary Edition 4K for just $13.99 (see here at Amazon). That’s 30% off its MSRP of $19.98. Not to mention, it’s also a limited time deal, so you’ll want to act fast before it’s gone for good.
This 4K comes with both the theatrical version of the film and the extended director’s cut, alongside a digital copy of the film. On top of that, it also features some cool bonus features: a commentary by the director William Friedkin for both versions of the film, a commentary by producer/screenwriter William Peter Blatty with the theatrical cut, and an introduction by William Friedkin with the theatrical cut.

That’s not all in terms of spectacularly spooky 4Ks available right now or coming out soon. In the realm of preorders, there are a couple of horror films releasing very soon that are worth keeping on your radar. The first is A Nightmare on Elm Street, which is getting the 4K treatment with a very nice steelbook set to release on October 15. The other is a more recent theatrical release, Longlegs, which is set to come out on 4K on September 24.
Both of these are worth adding to your collection, especially in the lead-up to Halloween, but if you want to see even more options coming soon it’s worth checking out our roundup of upcoming 4K UHD and Blu-ray release dates. Alongside the previously mentioned films, there are quite a few more horror films releasing just in time for spooky season that are worth keeping on your radar. This includes The Ring in 4K, Paranormal Activity’s 8-Movie Collection on Blu-ray, the Universal Classic Monsters 8-Movie Collection, and many more.
