Score a Free Doom Eternal, Ghostbusters, and BioShock, plus the Best Deals of the Week!

These are the days when it pays to have a (30-day free) trial of Amazon’s Prime Gaming. If you take the three minutes needed to set that sucker up, you can score at least three AAAs, which are (kinda, sorta) in the spooky spirit of Halloween. Alternatively, let’s start your week with some incredible deals from Prime Day 2, which I can’t believe are still available.

In retro news, I’m celebrating the 22nd bday of Kelly Slater’s Pro Surfer. Growing up as a grommet in a South Coast town meant KSPS was a Teahupo’o-sized launch for me and my mates. We were stoked with Oz nods like Bells and Kirra, Curren and Carroll, and also just a slick combo system in what was basically Tony Hawk’s Water Skater. (Note: Tones could actually be unlocked via Nokia phone code.) All that being said, some of us found the unrealistic physics and kickflips jarring; we just as often duck-dived this for Transworld Surf or Sunny Garcia’s instead.

The Penguin: Episode 4 Review - “Cent’anni”

The following review contains spoilers for the fourth episode of The Penguin, “Cent’anni.” As gritty and grounded as 2022’s The Batman was, “grounded” is a relative term. Yes, there aren’t any super-powered people (and there won’t be, according to writer/director Matt Reeves) and Robert Patinson’s Batmobile is just a souped-up […]
