The Omen Transcend is HP's newest gaming laptop and it's lighter and thinner than the standard Omen, weighing in as low as 3.6lbs. It boasts better build quality and materials like a premium all-metal (aluminum) chassis, Corning gorilla glass display, and some models are even equipped with a gorgeous OLED panel. The Omen Transcend is an excellent option for anyone who wants a slim and easily portable laptop while still being able to play the latest games.
HP Omen Transcend 16" RTX 4070 Laptop
This HP Omen Transcend 16" gaming laptop is equipped with a 16" 2560×1600 IPS display, Intel Core i7-14700HX CPU, GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, 32GB of DDR5-5600MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Core i7-14700HX is a powerful 20-core (28-thread) CPU with a max clock speed of 5.5GHz. It's paired with an RTX 4070 GPU with a 130W TGP. This laptop is powerful enough to run pretty much any game out there at 60fps on the native 1600p resolution. If gaming is a priority for you, I'd recommend getting this model over the 14" model below. Although the 14" model is also equipped with an RTX 4070 GPU, it has a lower TGP rating (to lower power consumption and reduce heat) so it won't perform as well.
HP Omen Transcend 14" OLED RTX 4070 Laptop
This HP Omen Transcend 14" gaming laptop is equipped with a gorgeous 14" 2880×1800 OLED display, Intel Core Ultra 9 185H CPU, GeForce RTX 4060 GPU, 32GB of DDR5-5600MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The newest generation Intel Core Ultra 9 185H is a power efficient, low voltage Meteor Lake CPU that's more than powerful enough to not be a bottleneck during gaming. The RTX 4070 GPU is a nice step up from the RTX 4060 but keep in mind that the TGP has been reduced to 80W to extend battery life and reduce power consumption. Since the display sports a very high 2.8K resolution, I'd recommend dropping the resolution down to 1080p and enabling DLSS while gaming in order to hit a consistent 60fps frame rate with the most demanding games. Even so, you definitely will not find a sub-4lb laptop with this much gaming prowess at its current price point.
