Save 20% Off the Massive LEGO Ninjago City Gardens Set for Cyber Monday, But It Might Sell Out Quickly

For Cyber Monday, The LEGO Shop is exclusively offering a great deal on an absolutely massive set. You can pick up the LEGO Ninjago City Gardens 71741 for only $279.99 after a 20% discount. You’ll need to be a LEGO Insiders member to get this discount, but fortunately signing up is free. This is one of LEGO’s biggest sets ever and is comprised of a whopping 5,686 pieces. That’s only 5 cents per brick, which represents a phenomenal value.

LEGO Ninjago City Gardens 71741

LEGO Ninjago City is a collection of four enormous sets: Ninjago City (retired), Ninjago City Docks (retired), Ninjago City Gardens, and Ninjago City Markets. If you have more than one set, you can combine them to create an awe-inspiring city of pretty epic proportions. City Gardens is the second largest set by brick count, but its imposing 29″ high scale makes it feel bigger than all the other sets. The interior of the tower consists of five tiers. Within the tiers are markets or stalls, each with its own flavor and an incredible amount of detailed Ninjago easter eggs, like the Ninja Zone, ice cream shop, Chen’s noodle house, or the Ninjago museum of history.

You don’t need to be a Ninjago fan to enjoy this set. It’s relatively easy to build for such a high brick count; normally a set like this would be targeted towards ages 18+, but the Ninjago City sets have a more lenient age recommendation of 14+. That said, there are a lot of different building techniques used to keep the build process interesting. There is a huge variety of brightly colored bricks that I wish I saw in other more monochrome sets like LEGO Star Wars.

Best of all, you’re getting a soon-to-retire set at a last-chance discount. The other Ninjago City sets have gone up quickly in price after they were retired. The first set, LEGO Ninjago City, for example, regular fetches prices of over $1,000.

More LEGO Sets Are on Sale for Black Friday

Check out our guide to all of the best LEGO Black Friday deals available right now. There are plenty of big discounts on sets for all ages from multiple retailers, including LEGO Shop, Amazon, Best Buy, and of course, Target.

Will the Deals Change for Cyber Monday?

In my experience, many of the same deals we saw on Black Friday will return for Cyber Monday 2024, including deals that were sold out or expired. Retailers usually release their hottest selling items in batches so that every sale event has at least some inventory reserved. That said, I also expect plenty of new, never before seen deals. Traditionally, Black Friday was known as the “retail holiday,” where the best deals were found in-store, and Cyber Monday was known as the “online holiday,” where the best deals were online only. Although today the lines have blurred, it is still true that many online only retailers still consider Cyber Monday the sale event of the year instead of Black Friday. Expect some amazing sales to come out of online-only sites like Amazon, Newegg, Dell, HP, Lenovo and several online-only deals from traditional retailers like Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. In fact, Amazon has taken the preemptive and already switched over to Cyber Monday.
