This discounted price is available exclusive at LEGO Shop, and the set is currently $200 everywhere else. At this price, you’re only paying about 7 cents per brick, which is an outstanding value for an official Marvel themed LEGO build. You’ll need to be a LEGO Insiders member, but fortunately signing up is free. I purchased this set at full price and it was one of my favorite, if not my most favorite, LEGO build of 2024.
20% Off LEGO Milk Way Galaxy 31212
The LEGO Milky Way Galaxy set 31212 is part of the LEGO Art series, which includes other notable sets like Vincent Van Gogh’s The Starry Night and Hokusai’s The Great Wave. This is one of the bigger sets, measuring 15.5″ tall and 25.5″ wide and consisting of 3,091 brick pieces. What’s unique about this representation of our Milky Way galaxy is that the set uses a generous amoutn of greebles, which are random LEGO pieces you wouldn’t expect in a typical space-themed build. Some greebles used include brush combs, cherries, flowers, hearts, whisks, bicycle helmets, purple carrots, and some really unique pieces like something that I would best describe as transparent blue french fries. The Milky Way build also makes use of an intensely colorful palette of bricks, something that’s sorely missing in recent LEGO builds, and the layering makes the finished art piece look like a mesmerizing 3D display. You can even scan a QR code in the building instructions booklets to discover more about the Milky Way through the set’s specially curated soundtrack.
