Rick and Morty: The Anime has a new trailer teasing the titular duo's intergalactic adventures ahead of their new series premiering this August.

The trailer offers Rick and Morty fans their best look yet at the Smith family's latest shenanigans as things get twisty and wind up in an anime multiverse where Rick hangs out in a pseudo-world, Summer helps Space Beth "crush" the evil Galactic Federation, and Morty falls head over heels for a mysterious atemporal being.

The English-language version of the series will premiere on August 15 at midnight on Adult Swim, with a voice cast that includes Joe Daniels (Rick and Jerry), Gabriel Regojo (Morty), Donna Bella Litton (Summer), and Patricia Duran (Beth). The subtitled Japanese version will follow on August 17, with Youhei Tadano (Rick), Keisuke Chiba (Morty), Akiha Matsui (Summer), Manabu Muraji (Jerry), and Takako Fuji (Beth).

Adult Swim announced Rick and Morty: The Anime in 2022. The 10-episode series is written and directed by Takashi Sano, who previously helmed "Rick and Morty vs. Genocider" and "Summer Meets God (Rick Meets Evil)" – two of five anime shorts released between 2020 and 2021 that proved popular with audiences.

"Takashi Sano, in addition to being a super-talented director, is also a huge Rick and Morty fan," said Michael Ouweleen, President of Adult Swim. "He's the perfect person to give us all this alternate version of this amazing show."

In celebration of Rick and Morty: The Anime, Adult Swim's Rickmobile and Mortymobile are hitting the road for a multi-city Amercian tour, giving fans the chance to watch the first episode before it releases and score exclusive merchandise and photo ops. The first stop will be at San Diego Comic-Con between July 25-28.

Adult Swim will also host a first-look event at San Diego Comic-Con on July 26, with the network's head of action and anime, Jason DeMarco, joining writer/director Takashi Sano and producers Joseph Chou and Takenari Maeda to share details about the intergalactic adventure and show the inner workings of the new series.

Rick and Morty: The Anime episodes will also be available to stream on Max and purchase on digital the day after their Adult Swim debut.
