If you’re one of the many who weren’t able to preorder a 30th Anniversary Limited Edition PS5 a couple of weeks ago, not all hope is lost. You will have another shot at securing a PS5 Digital Edition 30th Anniversary Limited Edition console today. Preorders are scheduled to go live at various retailers today at 10am ET / 7am PT / 10am BST. The PS1-style console costs $499.99 / £433.99 and ships on November 21. UK preorders have started to go live, with Argos now sold out. Amazon UK’s product page is up but hasn’t gone live yet. We’re expecting preorders to start from 10am BST.

These pages are online now, but preorders won’t go live until 10am ET / 7am PT on October 10. Target went live early, and has subsequently ‘sold out’, but that may be an error and they could return along with everyone else. Note that Walmart will require a paid Walmart+ membership to purchase the console. You can see details here, but note that you won’t likely be able to place a preorder if you start a free trial now.
If you’re reading this with time to spare, I recommend you make sure you’re signed in to all of the sites well beforehand to maximize your chances of locking down a preorder. In all likelihood, these preorders will sell out fast. You can follow IGN Deals on Twitter for real-time updates.

While the 30th Anniversary Limited Edition console comes with a disc drive cover in the same color as the rest of the retro-style console, it doesn’t actually come with the disc drive itself. So if you have games on disc you’d like to play, you’ll have to purchase a disc drive separately. It’s not ideal, but it’s the reality. So grab one if you want one. It’s entirely possible that this wave of preorders sparks another PS5 disc drive sales rush and they become hard to find in stock.
