If you enjoy a good crime comic book (and who doesn’t?), you’ll definitely want to keep an eye on Perfect Crime Party. This upcoming graphic novel from Iron Circus Comics features more than 300 pages of crime tales from a variety of creators.
With the crowdfunding campaign for Perfect Crime Party launching soon, IGN can exclusively debut a new preview of “The Heist,” one of the many new stories featured in the book. Check it out in the slideshow gallery below:
“The Heist” is written by Amy Chu (Red Sonja) and drawn by Anderson Cabral (Drones). The story is set in a world where paper has become the most valuable substance there is. So what better place to stage a high-stakes heist than a library?
“I’ve always loved a good heist story but rarely get to write one, so when Kel reached out it was an immediate yes,” Chu tells IGN. “Very excited to team up with the amazingly talented Andersen Cabral who drew my very first self published comic Saving Abby. It’s cats and librarian gangs set in a New York vegan sci-fi setting. I hope people enjoy it!”
Cabral adds, “What an opportunity to revisit old characters in this story and meet nice friends.”
Perfect Crime Party features a cover by Bone creator Jeff Smith. The full creative lineup will be revealed in the coming weeks. Backers of the upcoming crowdfunding campaign will have the option of a digital version of the book, a print version with bonus artwork, and a bundle that includes all of Iron Circus’ previous anthology books.
“Perfect Crime Party is the platonic ideal of the Iron Circus anthology,” said Iron Circus Founder Spike Trotman. “A cool idea, tossed at incredibly creative people, who are left to do with it what they will! The results are always so fun and unexpected.”
