Konami UK has officially revealed a brand new Steelbook for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2. There is no word on whether it will be available in other regions at this time.

Preorders are set to go live for the new Steelbook case on April 10, although no retailers currently have it listed in the UK. It is also currently unclear whether this is a separate release or part of a Steelbook Edition that will also include the base game.

IGN has reached out to Konami for comment.

For now, what we do know is that the new Steelbook case, featuring "timeless artwork of Old Snake and Big Boss", will at least launch alongside Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 on August 27, 2026, for Switch, Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

The re-release was inititially announced during a Sony State of Play livestream in February this year.
