HP’s Newest and Best Gaming Monitor Is on Sale: Save $400 Off the Omen Transcend 32″ 4K OLED Display

HP’s flagship Omen Transcend 32″ 4K QD OLED gaming monitor was announced way back at CES 2024 last January, but it was only just released in December. Although it has been a long wait, HP did manage to introduce a lot of extra features that I don’t see in other similar monitors. This is one of the few computer displays on the market that combines a sharp 4K (3840×2160) native resolution with an OLED panel, all packed into a generously sized 32″ screen size. If you’re looking for the best 4K gaming monitor, this should definitely be on your short list.

32″ HP Omen Transcend 4K QD OLED Gaming Monitor

The HP Omen Transcend gaming monitor incorporates Samsung’s QD OLED panel technology, which is brighter than traditional OLED panels while maintaining near infinite response time, contrast ratio, and black levels. It is HDR True Black 400 certified with 99.3% DCI-P3 color range and is factory calibrated. For gamers, this monitor is equipped with a fast 240Hz refresh rate, and G-Sync certification. It even has built-in speakers that have been “tuned by HyperX specifically tailored for gaming and entertainment.”

Connectivity-wise, the Omen Transcend includes both HDMI 2.1 and the newer DisplayPort 2.1 standard, which you’ll see in the upcoming GeForce 5000 series GPUs. There’s even a USB Type-C port with 140W of Power Delivery with support for DispalyPort alternate mode so you can connect just a single cable to your laptop.

Something to keep in mind is that 4K monitors require a pretty powerful GPU. 4K resolution has 2.25 times more pixels than QHD; if you want to play games in 4K, especially at frame rates of up to 240fps, you’ll want a gaming PC equipped with an GeForce RTX 4070 at the minimum. If your PC is equipped with something as powerful as an RTX 4080 Super, RTX 4090, or RX 7900XTX, then this monitor would be the perfect complement.

HP backs this monitor up with a three-year warranty.

32″ Alienware AW3225QF 4K OLED Monitor

The Alienware AW3225QF has been around since early 2024 and is very similar to the HP Omen Transcend on paper. This is Alienware’s best high-end gaming monitor deal and the monitor that I personally use (and highly recommend). Right now it has been marked down to $899.99 after a savings of $300 off the retail price. Although the HP Omen Transcend is a newer model with some extra features, Alienware does have the better warranty with its burn-in protection.

For children of the ’80s, few rivalries are as nostalgic as the one between G.I. Joe and Cobra, with their high-tech vehicles, creative codenames, and the red and blue lasers their weapons shot. For longtime board game players, the Axis & Allies series of war board games may hold a […]
