During a 2022 SXSW panel, Harley Quinn co-showrunner and co-developer Schumacker characterized the spinoff as a Cheers-style comedy in which Kite Man purchases a Noonan’s, a frequent hangout for Arkham Aslyum’s greatest villains and the show’s former working title. The spinoff will see actor Matt Oberg reprise his role as the titular fail-man villain. Other new and returning characters to the series include:

Stephanie Hsu as Golden GliderJames Adomian as BaneNatasia Demetriou as MaliceJanelle James as Queen of FablesJonathan Banks as NoonanKeith David as DarkseidMichael Imperioli as Joe/Moe DubelzRory Scovel as Gus the GoonLance Reddick as Lex LuthorJudith Light as “Helen Villigan.”

Harley Quinn debuted in 2019 and received rave reviews among fans and critics as the forerunner of DC’s venture into adult-leaning animated series. Warner Bros. Discovery renewed the series for a fifth season in 2023, though its tentative release window has yet to be announced.

In our review for Harley Quinn Season 4, we gave the show a seven out of 10, saying, “Harley Quinn remains ambitious and audacious, but Season 4 is pulled in too many directions for it to be truly great.”
