F1, the upcoming movie from Apple Original Films and Warner Bros. Pictures that stars Brad Pitt and is directed by Top Gun: Maverick’s Joseph Kosinski, has received its first teaser trailer, an International release date of June 25, 2025, and a North American release date of June 27, 2025.
The teaser has very little dialogue and instead bets it big on the racing, but the words speak loudly as to what fans can expect from this high-speed adventure.
“Red Bull, Ferrari, Mercedes, Aston… now McLaren, all have us beat on the straights. Our shot is battling in the turns. We need to build our car for combat.”
“How am I supposed to make that safe?” Asks Kerry Condon’s character.
“Who said anything about safe?” Pitt answered.
In F1, Pitt steps into the shoes of Sonny Hayes, a former Formula 1 driver who “is lured back to the sport to partner rookie teammate Joshua Pearce – played by Damson Idris – at the fictional APXGP team.”
“[Sonny Hayes] has a horrible crash, kind of craps out and disappears and is racing in other disciplines,” Pitt told Sky Sports standing in the paddock at Silverstone last summer. “His friend, played by Javier Bardem, is a team owner. They’re a last-placed team… They’ve never scored a point. They have a young phenom played by Damson Idris. He brings me in as a kind of Hail Mary, and hijinks ensue.”
Joining Pitt and Condon in F1 will be Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, and Samson Kayo. The movie is being produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Brad Pitt, and seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton, and filming has taken place at real F1 events, including this weekend’s British Grand Prix.
