TL;DR: Best Prime Day PS5 Deals
PS5 Slim is Down to $449
Among the standout offers is $50 off the PS5 Slim, bringing the price down to just $449 for the disc version, or $399 for the digital. The Slim models are essentially a more compact version of the original PlayStation 5. It brings a sleeker design to Sony’s next-gen gaming experience. While maintaining the high performance and features of the original PS5, the Slim version addresses the bulkiness that was a notable aspect of its predecessor.
This is the best PS5 deal since last year’s Black Friday, and if you’ve been waiting for a solid holiday offer, now’s the time to jump in. It’s looking unlikely that Black Friday will bring a better price, making this an excellent chance to grab the console at a significant discount.

Is It Better to Buy a New Console on Prime Day or Black Friday?
Last year during the long Black Friday sales, we also saw the launch of the PS5 Slim. As we’ve mentioned, Sony quickly the mid-gen refresh with Spider-Man 2 or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. That was the most popular deal of Black Friday, and a good indicator that can be worth waiting on a decent console deal.
It’s also worth keeping like the PS5 Pro could be getting more of the spotlight come Black Friday, or could usher in bundle deals or price drops for every other PS5 when it’s available regularly. For now, when it comes to October Prime Day vs. Black Friday, the answer is go with your gut. If $50 off the PS5 Slim during Prime Big Deal Days seems like a good deal for you, it’s still a pretty rare sight and well worth taking advantage of while you can.
