AU Deals: Personas For a Pittance, A Great Deal on Indy Great Circle, Reduced Tomb Raiding, and More!

Rejoice, my fellow penny pinchin’ patient ones! This week’s gaming deals are packed with heavy-hitters at jaw-dropping discounts and some old gold you really ought to own already, so let’s dive into the best of the best. Get scrolling to get savin’!

This Day in Gaming 🎂

In retro news, I’m using a PLAS-1 Scorcher to light 10 candles on a Helldivers bday cake. Rather different from its current-day darling of a sequel, this top-down twin-stick shooter was a white-knuckle affair that bolstered/ruined many a mateship with its uncommon inclusion of friendly fire. One core memory for me: hearing some NPC Helldivers on my bridge remark upon the ‘peacefulness’ of their skull logo in a very “Are we the baddies?” exchange. Comedy gold.

Nice Savings for Nintendo Switch

If you’ve yet to experience Immortals Fenyx Rising on Switch, now’s the time—at just A$12, it’s an absolute steal. This mythological adventure from Ubisoft was originally pitched as an Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey expansion before evolving into a full-fledged game that I thought was criminally under-bought.

On PC, Tomb Raider: Anniversary is practically free at A$1.49! This stunning remake of Lara Croft’s 1996 debut contains a secret Bigfoot Easter egg, a callback to a long-standing rumor about the original game. And if you crave justice with a side of ‘80s nostalgia, RoboCop: Rogue City is actually way better than you think it is.

With Daredevil: Born Again debuting this week, stars Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio have been making the press rounds talking about the process of taking the very R-rated, violent Netflix series and extending that story for what D’Onofrio says is essentially a fourth season on Disney+.
