After More Than 50 Years, Kolchak: The Night Stalker Is Finally Getting an Action Figure

Though he only appeared in two made-for-TV movies and one TV season in the 1970s, intrepid reporter Karl Kolchak has become a true horror icon over the decades. It seems only fitting that Wandering Planet Toys and Monstrous are teaming up to give the Night Stalker his very first action figure.

With the crowdfunding campaign for the Kolchak: The Night Stalker figures live now, IGN can exclusively debut new images of the two Kolchak figures featured in the campaign. Check them out in the slideshow gallery below:

This Kickstarter campaign focuses on two releases – a standard Carl Kolchak figure and a two-pack set that includes a blood-spattered Kolchak variant and his vampiric nemesis, Janos Skorzeny. In addition, there will also be a Kolchak-themed metal lunchbox.

These figures measure 6 inches tall and are designed at 1:12 scale. The Kolchak figure features 22 points of articulation. It includes various accessories inspired by the show, such as alternate heads (with or without the trademark hat), interchangeable hands, a typewriter, a camera, a tape recorder, and a crucifix.

“From the very beginning of Wandering Planet we've always had Kolchak on our 'wish list' of official licensed figures we'd love to make,” says Wandering Planet Co-Founder Chris “Doc” Wyatt in a statement. “We've wanted the irascible Carl investigating supernatural cases on our toy shelves for years! We're so thankful for our partners at Monstrous, who are working with us to make our collector's dream a reality… not just for us, but for all toy fans!”

Previously, Monstrous published a comic book spinoff of Kolchak the Night Stalker called Kolchak Meets the Classic Monsters.
