Rockstar Games and PlayStation have revealed a pair of GTA 6-themed PS5 controllers.
During the PlayStation State of Play, we got some unexpected GTA 6 news. PlayStation and Rockstar Games’ marketing deal will give birth to two limited edition GTA 6 controllers. One will come in white, the other in black, but both feature the same core design: the VI logo engraved on the touchpad with palm tree etchings around the controller grips. The Grand Theft Auto logo is also etched into the back of the controllers and are rounded out with a sleek, neon purple trim around the bottom half of the controllers.
Pre-orders will open for the controllers through PlayStation Direct on September 10, but fans won’t be able to get their hands on them until the game’s release on November 19. The controllers will set fans back a whopping $84.99 and you should probably anticipate them selling out quickly given the rabid demand for the game.
The news comes as GTA 6’s marketing begins to really ramp up. Last week, Rockstar debuted the first gameplay for GTA 6 and invited select media (including IGN) to participate in previews for the game. Fans have been suffering for years due to Rockstar’s extended gaps of silence, but all of that appears to be coming to an end as GTA 6 has locked in its November release date.
PlayStation has also been boasting that GTA 6 will “play best” on PS5 and the game will have unique, exclusive features on the console. The game will take advantage of the DualSense controller’s speakers, haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and the console’s Tempest 3D AudioTech. It’s unclear if there will be any kind of console bundle for GTA 6, but it seems slightly unlikely now. The announcement of the controllers would’ve paired well with a bundle reveal, but no such thing was confirmed by Sony or Rockstar.
Today’s announcement comes as part of the latest showcase from PlayStation. Catch up on everything announced during Sony’s State of Play September 2026 broadcast right here.
