The Legend of Zelda: The Complete Series DVD Is Under $10 For Prime Day

We're nearing the end of Prime Day, but the deals are from over. There are literally hundreds of 4K, Blu-ray, and DVDs of movies and TV shows discounted until tomorrow. One is The Legend of Zelda: The Complete Series animated show on DVD. It's down to just $8.99, 55% off of its sticker price of $19.98. This show ran for only one season throughout 1989 and is widely considered both extremely nostalgic and awful by many.

The single-disc collection compiles the show's entire 13-episode run in a colorful case. It sadly doesn't include any special features, like making-of featurettes or creator commentaries. But at this price, it's a nice time capsule glimpse at what cartoon adaptations were like at the time. This show follows the story of the original The Legend of Zelda for the NES, but with Link and Zelda working together to defend Hyrule against the evil wizard Ganon. Overall its a fun gift for Zelda fans who watched this series back in the day.

If you're just now discovering that this series exists, I'd recommend watching a few episodes before buying the DVD. It's currently available with a Prime Video subscription or for free on Tubi.

In other The Legend of Zelda adaptation news, Sony's live-action film has officially wrapped filming as of April. Word is still mum on this new take on the mythos, but so far we've seen production stills of Link and Zelda in their Breath of the Wild garb in a grassy field.

More TV Shows and Movies Discounted For Prime Day

The Legend of Zelda: The Complete Series joins dozens of other TV show collections you can pick up on the cheap for Prime Day. HBO's It: Welcome to Derry is an entertaining prequel to the remake of Stephen King's iconic story, down to $29.99 from $44.98. If you're looking for even more animation, Adventure Time: The Complete Series box set, a 22-disc collection of the whole show with plenty of bonus features, is marked down to $33.24 from $49.99.
