Microsoft has announced a new limited edition Xbox Series X console variant inspired by the original Xbox.
The console will sport a translucent Xbox green shell, allowing you to see all of the inner-workings of the console. It will also have a matching translucent controller, which will be both bundled with the console and sold separately. Microsoft noted that the console and controller will have small details and surprises that pay tribute to the brand’s 25 years of history.
Pricing details and pre-orders will be detailed later, but you can expect the two pieces of hardware to arrive in November. The console will likely pair well with Halo: Campaign Evolved, a remake of one of the greatest launch games of all-time. A new trailer for the remake was shown today and confirmed the game will release next month on July 28th.
Microsoft noted that this hardware launch is just one of the ways its celebrating its 25th anniversary. It’s unclear if there are any other big surprisises coming for the anniversary, but we likely won’t see anythign else until around November when the anniversary happen.
