The audio savvy know that a single speaker isn't enough to reproduce an entire soundstage. If you could pick one more speaker to complement your primary soundbar or speaker, then a subwoofer would undoubtedly make the most meaningful impact. As part of the Sonos Recertified Sale, the certified Sonos Sub (Gen 3) wireless subwoofer is down to just $409 with free shipping. That's less than half the price of the Sub 3 when it first launched at $899.
Note that Sonos refurbished products go through rigorous testing and look and work as if they were brand new. They come with all accessories, manuals, and documentation and are reshipped in "pristine" packaging. Most importantly, Sonos includes the same 1-year warranty as buying a retail product.
Sonos Sub (Gen 3) for $409
The Sub (Gen 3) is Sonos' full-sized subwoofer, featuring dual inward-facing 5"x8" woofers matched with Class-D digital amplifiers and a traditional ported design that allows for a louder and deeper low-end. Despite the relatively compact size, this is a hefty subwoofer weighing in at over 35 pounds (which is a good thing). The Sub 3 is strictly a networked subwoofer; connectivity options include either wireless over 802.11n WiFi or wired over a 10/100 ethernet cable that then connects to your router. It pairs seamlessly with other Sonos speakers including the Arc Ultra soundbar.
Sonos Sub 4 also drops to its lowest price ever for Memorial Day
The Sonos Sub 4 has hit a new price low. It's currently priced at $619, a savings of 31%.
So why pay over $200 more for a Sub 4 than a Sub 3. Quite honestly, most people shouldn't. Performance-wise, these two subs are identical. The Sub 4's improvements are more about future-proofing and better system integration. It has a faster processor, more RAM, and upgraded Wi-Fi 6 networking compared to its predecessor. According to Sonos, these upgrades "allow it to communicate more efficiently and effectively with the other components in your home theater system. It will be capable of receiving the latest software updates and features from Sonos for years to come."
Pair it with the Sonos Arc Ultra for an outstanding home theater setup
Sonos' flagship Arc Ultra soundbar drops to its lowest price ever. Right now, you can get it for $749, a total savings of 32% off the brand new retail price of $1,099.
Given the number of upgrades, the Sonos Arc Ultra should be considered more as a new class of flagship soundbar than a mere update of the original Arc. At first glance, both look similar, with the same 46" long profile, but the internals are totally different. Whereas the Arc featured a 5.0.2ch setup with eleven speakers and no sub, the Arc Ultra boasts an expanded 9.4.1ch setup with fourteen speakers including a four-motor, dual-membrane Sound Motion woofer for better bass response and low end. This is a pretty significant upgrade alone if you don't plan on adding a discrete subwoofer.
