There are many reasons why an electric scooter might be a better fit for you than an electric bike. They're lighter, more compact, and usually less expensive. Electric assisted scooters give you more range and speed for less effort, and the brushless motor is pretty quiet. You'd think upgrading to one would cost you a lot of money, but that's not the case with the below AOVOPRO model.

48V 500W Electric Scooter With 12Ah Battery for Just $165

During its Memorial Day Sale, AliExpress is offering the AOVOPRO TMAX 500W electric scooter with 12Ah battery for $164.50 with free shipping after coupon: "USDEAL24". AliExpress marketplace vendor AOVOPRO is the official manufacturer of this scooter. It's stocked in a local US warehouse so there are no import fees or long shipping times.

The TMAX scooter has nearly the same amount of power as entry-level electric bikes. For starters, it's equipped with a powerful 500W brushless motor that can push the scooter at speeds of up to 22mph and a 48V 12Ah battery that lasts up to 22 miles on a single charge and the torque to climb steep inclines. The 10" tires and dual suspension allows the TMAX to tackle rougher terrain versus the single suspension models with 8" tires that are restricted to smooth paved surfaces. The scooter weighs about 35 pounds and can be folded for easier transport and storage.

There's not much more you could ask for from an e-scooter that costs less than $200. Other popular brands like the Segway Ninebot E2 and the Niu KQi 100P scooters have less powerful 300W motors and cost 2X the price, despite the fact that they're also built overseas.
