Crunchyroll recently confirmed that a new ‘special’ episode of My Hero Academia will be available to stream on May 2. Titled "More," the episode will adapt Chapter 431 of the original manga, an epilogue that takes place eight years after the main story.
Here’s everything we know about when you can tune into the special episode of MHA online.
My Hero Academia Special Episode 170+1 "More" Streaming Schedule
In a recent trailer announcement, Crunchyroll said the special episode “will be available to stream when it premieres.” According to the anime's official website, that'll be at 5:30pm JST on May 2. For those in the States, that translates to 4:30am EST or 1:30am PST on the same day, May 2.
Per my own experience with Crunchyroll simulcasts, it's possible there's a small delay between the initial broadcast and the episode becoming available to stream. If you’re planning a late night (or ridiculously early morning), you’re probably looking at a Crunchyroll drop by 5:30am EST/2:30am PST at the absolute latest.
Official social media accounts have confirmed that both subbed and dubbed versions of the episode will be available to stream on the same day. Broadcast schedules have also already confirmed a rough runtime for the special episode, which airs from 5:30 to 6:00pm JST. With commercial breaks, that likely places the full episode length somewhere between 20 and 25 minutes.

The My Hero Academia anime premiered all the way back in 2016, making this year its 10th anniversary. The show's eighth and final season recently aired as part of the Fall 2025 season. We got the chance to review the final season's premiere, which writer Rafael Motamayor noted "doubles down on the show's themes of heroism and legacy." The original manga, created by Kōhei Horikoshi, was serialized in Shonen Jump from 2014 to 2024.
While the special episode marks a bittersweet end to the original My Hero Academia series, it’s not the total end of the road for the world of Quirks. My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, a spin-off series that takes place before the main events of MHA, is currently in the middle of its second season, and I wouldn't be surprised if we eventually get anime adaptations of other spin-offs like Smash!! or Team-Up Missions.
