The MSI Vector HX laptop is a higher-end gaming laptop with some great specs. For starters, the 16″ IPS display sports a 2560×1600 189ppi resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, and G-Sync compatibility. The CPU is the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX with a max turbo frequency of 5.4GHz with 24 total cores. It’s an outstanding processor for both gaming and workstation tasks..
The RTX 5080 mobile GPU is roughly 15%-20% more powerful than the RTX 5070 Ti. Compared to previous generation GPUs, it’s actually slightly more powerful than the RTX 4090 and pulls ahead even further if the game supports DLSS 4.5. You should be able to run any game out there at consistent 60+ fps framerates on the native 2.5K resolution, even the newest titles like Pragmata and Crimson Desert.
The rest of the specs include 16GB of DDR5-5600MHz RAM, and a 1TB SSD. Both the RAM and SSD are user-upgradeable if you plan on adding more once the prices of flash-based memory and storage drop to more reasonable levels.
Inputs include two Thunderbolt 5 / USB Type-C ports with Power Delivery 3.1 and DisplayPort compatibility, HDMI 2.1 port, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, an SD Express card reader, and an ethernet port
