It’s November, which means pretty much every major retailer on the planet is going to launch some form of Black Friday sale. Target has joined Best Buy in kicking things off sooner rather than later, with early Black Friday deals now live through November 8. While we’re still in the early days of discounts, Target has particularly strong deals on toys and LEGO sets that definitely have the potential to sell out.
Target’s Early Black Friday Sale Is Now Live
Target’s early Black Friday sale is offering 30–50% off some of its biggest product categories. A big highlight for us is the 40% off LEGO deals. LEGO Wicket the Ewok was put on backorder within days of release earlier this year. Not only is the set back in stock, it now has that solid 40% discount. Aside from the spread of LEGO Star Wars sets, we’ve also seen discounts on the LEGO Minecraft series and this year’s themed advent calendars.
The Toys section is a great spot to do some early holiday shopping, with up to 50% off Barbie dolls, Nerf guns, and even LeapFrog learning activities. Target often has exclusive releases, like the recently announced Transformers x Stranger Things figures, which you can rest assured won’t be price-matched or available for a better deal elsewhere.
Aside from the joy of toys, you’ll also find discounts on clothes, kitchen appliances, and even Christmas decorations. We haven’t seen any TCG deals yet, so here’s to hoping that’s a surprise for later in the month.
Target Black Friday Schedule
Early Black Friday Sale: November 6–8
Black Friday Sale: Starts online November 27, in stores on November 28
Weekly Deals: New deals going live every Sunday until December 24
Deal of the Day: Daily discounts from November 1 – December 24
Target’s Early Black Friday Sale is a three-day event from November 6–8. The official Target Black Friday sale will kick off online on November 27 and in stores on the day itself, November 28. The retailer will also be unveiling new deals every week as well as a rotating “Deal of the Day” until the end of the December. Some of the best deals will be exclusive to Target Circle members, which is free to join.
Another feature Target has rolled out is a price guarantee on all purchases starting November 1 until December 24. If you pick up a LEGO set in an early Black Friday deal that gets an even bigger price cut or in store, you can request a price adjustment (here’s the details on how to do so). The goal here is to help shoppers feel confident making purchases without worrying about whether they’re getting the best possible holdiay deal. It’s worth noting this price-matching no longer applies to other retailers, just Target.
Prepping for the season of savings? Best Buy has also launched an early Black Friday sale, while Walmart and Costco have announced Black Friday plans for later this month. The LEGO Store will be having a Black Friday sale exclusively over the Black Friday weekend. For more, check out our full breakdown of when to expect Black Friday sales at all the big retailers.
