The first Back to the Future movie came out in 1985, which means the franchise is officially 40 years old. To celebrate this ruby anniversary (I had to look that up), each movie in the trilogy is getting a new limited-edition 40th anniversary steelbook, releasing on October 14. Each steelbook contains the movies on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and digital. They cost between $30 and $35, and they’re available to preorder now.
Additionally, for those who can live without the steelbooks, the whole trilogy is also being released in a standard edition. It includes all three movies in the same formats for $44.99 and also comes out October 14.

All three movies are directed by Robert Zemeckis and star Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd. I rewatched the whole trilogy earlier this year with my kids, and they hold up incredibly well. Even my elementary school-aged kids were rapt through all three movies.
All of the steelbooks come with imagery from the film on the outside and inside covers. Read on to see the steelbook covers and to see what bonus features come with each movie.
