Everyone knows Amazon’s Prime Day is basically Black Friday in July for anyone with a Prime membership. That means you can save a bundle on all kinds of things, ranging from video games to living room furniture. If you’re a fan of sci-fi cinema, you’re no doubt aware that the new Dune movies directed by Denis Villeneuve are downright fantastic. And right now, Prime members can pick up a physical copy of the first installment in 4K ultra HD, for just $10.99. That’s quite a deal.

Dune (4K UHD) for $10.99

Dune is a famously dense novel by Frank Herbert, published in 1965. It tells a space-faring story that was deemed for decades, by critics and fans alike, as virtually “unfilmable.” Turns out they were wrong; it’s not unfilmable — at least not if you you break the story into two parts and have Villeneuve-level talent.

The movie features mega-watt star power, with the likes of Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Zendaya, Josh Brolin, and more filling out the cast. It deftly builds the world and political landscape of the titular spice planet and tells the first half of the intriguing, action-packed tale. Check out our Dune review for more.
