Invincible Season 3 Gets Release Date (With No Midseason Break This Time)

Invincible season 3 has a release date, but it was maybe revealed a bit sooner than Prime Video would have liked it to be thanks to a leak over the weekend. The new season drops on February 6, 2025.

We learned this thanks to a since-removed leaked trailer on Sunday, covered by Forbes, and then reposted today by the official Prime Video account on X/Twitter. The trailer features Mark and Cecil Stedman chatting at Burger Mart about what Mark has been up to following the events of season 2…which doesn't sound like much, to Stedman's chagrin:

Prime Video's X/Twitter post of the trailer is being a bit cheeky with the line "Mark never gets a break" and some of the other references in this trailer, such as the reference to Mark taking a multi-month vacation. These ribbing remarks are self-effacing pokes at the mid-season break in Invincible's Season 2 between its initial airing in November 2023 and part 2 in March of 2024. Point being, there's no mid-season break in Invincible season 3.

Which is great news, because Invincible Seasons 1 and 2 are pretty darn good. We gave Season 1 an 8/10, calling it "great, thanks to its unique action and strong character-centric gravitas," and said Season 2 "shines a light on its strongest elements long enough to leave a lasting impact" "despite its scattered structure" in our 7/10 review. And we know for a fact there's even more to come after Season 3, thanks to a reveal at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year that Invincible had been renewed for a Season 4.

As for what Season 3 has in store, we got the tiniest taste of it at SDCC alongside the Season 4 renewal news. Creator Robert Kirkman showed off a new look for Mark in the upcoming season that hints at an even darker side to the hero.
